Previous FBI Head James Comey Files Not Guilty Plea to Accusations of Falsehoods US Legislators
Former Federal Bureau of Investigation chief James Comey has entered an innocent plea to providing misleading information to lawmakers and hindering a legislative process.
The former director's attorney submitted the answer acting as his counsel in a US district court in the Virginia city of Alexandria on mid-week.
The defense lawyer declared he would try to have the legal matter dismissed for several causes including that his the accused, a opponent of Donald Trump, was being singled out.
The former director was charged just days after the former president urged his chief prosecutor to take action against him.

In court on Wednesday, the defense counsel Mr Fitzgerald told the judge they planned to file several legal requests to dismiss the case before a legal hearing, arguing the legal action was retaliatory and that a US attorney was improperly appointed to assume control of the case.
