The New England Patriots equaled their longest winning run since the Brady period as they overcame AFC East opponents the New York Jets by 13 points in the NFL

Rookie TreVeyon Henderson led the way with three TDs as the Patriots claimed an eighth consecutive victory for the first time since legendary quarterback Tom Brady's last year with the franchise in the 2019 season

The win increases the New England's advantage at the summit of the division as they moved to nine wins and two defeats, with the New York bottom after slipping to two wins and eight losses

The opposing team had gone in front at their home field with QB Fields running in a short rushing score to cap the New York's first possession

But the New England responded in the second quarter as Henderson scored two seven-yard touchdowns before the running back hauled in a throw from Maye at the back of the endzone in the middle of the third quarter to push the score to 21-7

"It was a crucial moment for him delivering, and it's been great for him to keep getting these reps," the quarterback said of the rookie. "He desires to be great."

Fields found Metchie toward the end of the third period to close the gap for the visitors but Andy Borregales converted a two kicks in the fourth quarter as the Patriots sealed the victory
